Can the gutter vacuum clear downpipes?
We often get asked if the vacuum is powerful enough to clear the downpipes. Yes and no is the answer! As you can see in this photo at a job today in Croydon the vac has sucked onto this lump of soil that was in the top of the downpipe outlet going down as far as the first 45 degree elbow.
The top and the bottom of the gutter downpipe is generally the only place that will get blocked. If the downpipe has been screwed to the securing bracket with a long screw this can lead to blockages in the middle of the downpipe.
Don't worry though we are quite adept at spotting this and we'll have the downpipe removed cleared and back in place before you can say have you checked the downpipes...
When we come across little forests like this in Ashtead we don't charge any extra. All our quotes are fixed, the only extra charges are for parts and repairs .
