Why are my gutters getting blocked so often?
Sometimes gutters get in Caterham repeatably blocked many times a year. One reason for that is when you have over hanging trees too close to your property. As you can see in this photo not only are the gutters full of leaves but the roof is also covered in debris.
We recommend keeping all nearby trees cut back as much as possible. Sometimes the offending tree might not actually be on your property so it might be best to bake some cookies and pop over to see your neighbour and ask if they can arrange for the tree to be cut back
You might be tempted to just cut nearby trees down but it's important to first check with your local council as many trees these days are protected with tree preservation orders meaning it's illegal to cut them down.
